Theresa has been practicing law since 2005. While she has also done work in criminal, immigration,
discrimination and estate planning, Theresa’s primary practice since 2007 has been Family Law. She
has handled countless cases from filing to completion, including mediation, trial and arbitration. She
regularly appears in both King County and Snohomish County Superior Courts on Family Law Motions
calendars, as well as in front of the Superior Court judges for revision or trial-related hearings. Theresa
handles all types of Family Law matters at the firm, including high-asset dissolutions, contested custody
matters, parenting and support modifications, as well as prenuptial contracts and post-dissolution
disputes.
Born and raised in the Seattle area, Theresa worked and paid her way through the Seattle University
Honors Program and she graduated as a History major, Philosophy minor. While attending Seattle
University School of Law, Theresa was an intern with both the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office and the
Seattle City Attorney, where she completed her first jury and bench trials prior to graduation from law
school. Between her first and second years, Theresa did a summer study abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico,
studying NAFTA and Mexican Business Law, as well as working on her advanced Spanish language skills.
Doing so allowed Theresa to complete law school early and get a jump start on her legal practice.
When not practicing law, Theresa relaxes by working on writing novels, training for her next marathon,
or practicing yoga. |
