Stella L. Pitts
Stella L. Pitts serves as a principal of S.L. Pitts PC and has managed the firm since 2001. Her practice focuses on complex family law cases involving dissolution and custody.
Stella’s knowledge and experience helps her concentrate on restructuring families through problem-solving and integrity based solutions. Her network of colleagues and experts supports that work and helps with case strategy.
With a focus on transformational law, the idea that the law is a healing profession that ultimately resolves the well-being of complicated relationships between people, Stella is an avid leader in the legal community and regularly delivers legal education seminars on family law issues.
Stella first started in the legal profession managing small law firms while earning her undergraduate degree and her law degree. She began her practice as a family law attorney at Keller Rohrback and Casey Gordon Davis before opening S.L. Pitts PC.
Stella is a member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association and the King County Washington Women Lawyers, for which she served as president in 1996. As a member of the Family Law CASA Board of Directors, Stella supports court appointed special advocates for children in the legal system because of family law issues.
Stella is licensed in Washington state.
Stella received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Alaska.
